Caproni Vizzola C-22J Ventura (€10 + VAT)

The Machine:
A fully aerobatic, very-light Jet that compares to the Bede BD-5J, but heavier and sporting two instead of one TRS-18 turbojets. Up to Mach 0.47 and 650 NM of range, with a service ceiling of 25000ft. A low stall speed (for a jet) makes the aircraft good for short field operations.
Certified for VFR operations only, yet includes a good avionics suite.
This is a "Classic" aircraft featuring "Steam" gauges and radios. Yet, controls and systems are easy to operate.

The History:
The C-22J is the last aircraft to be adorned with the legendary Caproni name. Originally known as "Caproncino", then marketed as "Ventura". A very-light jet developed in the 1980s as a military trainer, surveillance and reconnaissance aircraft. Powered by two TRS-18 turbojets fed from a dorsal NACA intake, the aircraft reached Mach 0.47 and was fully aerobatic. The airframe shows its origin in a glider design, the Caproni A-21 Calif. After the merger with SIAI Marchetti, the project was cancelled in favor of the SF-260.

The Simulation - 3D Model:
This aircraft ships with a 3-D cockpit, that incorporates realistic night lighting, in the form of a dim dome flood light, backlit gauges and luminous digital displays. The flight crew of 2 is affected by your input in the payloads menu of Flight Simulator, allowing to choose between male, female or empty seats. The Copilot Figure can be hidden with a quick click in the internal 3D view as well.

The Simulation - Realism:
This aircraft has been tuned with the invaluable help of Engineer Carlo Ferrarin, who created the real aircraft. Unique and one-off documentation has been kindly provided, and used extensively, for the creation of this product!
Just like the real aircraft, the systems are simple and of easy operation. Engines can be started with the press of a button. Systems modelling allows the following of real-world checklists as closely as Flight Simulator allows. An in-sim checklist is included, as well as a full flight manual.
The flight model is tuned with advanced aerospace techniques, resulting in a highly realistic aircraft, yet, it is very pleasant to fly, both during aerobatic displays or "A to B" cruising.

Highlights:
- High-Resolution 3D cockpit
- Full Documentation
- Aerobatic

Compatibility:
- Flight simulator X (SE/SP2/Accel)
- Prepar3D V4 (64-bit)

In the future, we plan to release a Flight Simulator (2020) edition as well.

Piaggio P-166 Collection

This package contains a FS-X native conversion of all my original Piaggio P-166 models developed for FS-2002/2004. All versions are included: P-166A, P-166BL-2, P-166CL-2, P-166M, P-166S, P-166DL-3 and P-166DP-1. The 3D models are virtually the same, so these are fairly simple models. Yet they come with a VC (no 2D panel this time!). With respect to the FS-2002/2004 releases, they come with very much improved panels, in two flavors: Piston and Turboprop. Gauges developed by Milton Shupe & Scott Thomas for the Aero Commander / Turbo Commander Aircraft series, and Edgar Guinart López of Aeroproyecto for the Embraer 110. Other Gauges from my own Piaggio P-180 & PD-808. Also Included is a brand-new flight model redeveloped from scratch. The 3D models are mildly improved, with a proper pilot figure, main panel backlighting and bump-mapping. Please refer to the Reference and Checklist pages provided via the FS Kneeboard for flying and operating instructions. Models converted with Arno Gerretsen’s Model Converter X.
The Piaggio P-166 is a light small twin. An Exotic twin-engine prop that sold all over the world including America, UK, and Australia. Its origin is traced Back to the Piaggio P-136, a light amphibian, which the P-166 keeps the wings, the engines and the tail planes. The first P-166A flew in November 1957. The aircraft was still in production in the early 21st century in an improved turboprop version, the P-166DP-1.

Dassault Mercure 100 Released!

Conceived as a competitor to the Boeing 737 100 & 200, but optimized for short range flights of about 2000 Km, the Dassault Mercure 100 promised high speed, high efficiency, advanced technology and Reliability. Although it successfully materialized these promises, its short range proved unpopular, being sold only in 10 units to Air Inter. One of the first airliners to feature CAT-III auto landing, and the first with a HUD. The Mercure had an impressive life with Air Inter, 360,000 flight hours, carrying 44 million passengers in 440,000 flights with no accidents, and a 98% in-service reliability over its years of service from 1973 to 1995.

This Aircraft is distributed exclusively by the Historic Jetliners Group. HJG has provided the sound package and performed extensive testing. Several improvements have been made under their suggestion! Please head over to their web page to download the Mercure. Be sure to download the appropriate base pack for your Flight simulator version.

OSM World - South America

OSM Wolrd: South America is a comprehensive vector scenery package. It updates coastlines, lakes, rivers, streams, roads, railroads, power lines, and adds polygon urban areas. All at a resolution of a point every 10 meters! (In FS-2004, a pixel on the ground is a square of 5x5 meters, so this scenery is as high as you can get without causing any trouble)

The scenery covers the South American area.

Due to the massive nature of the package it is only available in the AVSim Library (login needed but free).
